WHAT:
Growing Up Asian in America, an essay and art contest for Bay Area youth
This year's contest theme is Superheroes. Write or draw about someone you know who is like a superhero to you and how this person has helped you. Or if you could create you own superhero, what would he look like and what super powers would he have? You can submit one entry piece per category by mailing it to the address below or you can deliver it to the office. Faxed and emailed entries are not accepted.

Eligibility:
• Asian or Pacific Islander ethinic background
• Be in a grade between kindergarten and 12
• Live in one of the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma
• Cannot have won in the same grade category in the previous year
• Cannot be the child of a contest judge or screener

Deadline of submission of entries is on March 2, 2007
