Answers:
1. When you move to Direct TV, you will have access to both The Filipino Channel and English programming. This means that you can have the convenience of having only one provider for all your TV entertainment.

We will replace your old receiver with new equipment that will give you 100% digital-quality picture and sound. And you may opt to receive up to four new standard receivers, all free of charge.

You will continue to enjoy your Kapamilya benefits like discounts on different ABS-CBNI products and select concert and event tickets.

With our Aug 2005 promo, we will give you a $21* rebate check ($7.00 off on your first 3 months subscription to TFCD on Direct TV) within the first 2 months of your activation with Direct TV.

*May be deducted from your outstanding balance with TFC and LDD.

2. It will be treated as a new account. However, you will continue to get all the benefits that you had as a TFCD subscriber (SSM and LDD) plus your benefits as an automatic Kapamilya Circle member.

3. There are no membership or activation fees when you transfer to Direct TV. And since you are a current TFCD subscriber, we will waive the $19.95 handling fee as well.

4. We will provide you with a new receiver free of charge so you can get both The Filipino Channel and your English programming.

Your existing TFCD satellite dish will just be realigned to point to DirecTV’s satellite at no cost to you. The installer may install a new dish if he finds it necessary. This will be done at no extra cost to you.

8. An authorized DIRECTV installer will come to your place to handle the installation and activation of your new unit. There will be no charge for a standard installation. Additional customized installation may require an extra fee.

9. Since the installation is free, we strongly recommend that you use the services of the Direct TV professional installer to insure that our recommended guidelines for installation are followed. Furthermore, a self-installation will void the equipment warranty.

10. You will be using your existing 36-inch dish or a similar sized dish.

11. The installer will require a written permission from the landlord/apartment manager to enter the premises to realign the dish, install a replacement dish or add a second dish.

This may be just a handwritten signed note from your landlord/apt manager or your Home Owners Association.

12. Your equipment and installation is covered with a three-month warranty.

Direct TV offers a Protection Plan that will cover your equipment and professional technical services for as low as $5.99 monthly.

13. Our relocation plan is free and easy! For one, you don’t need to take the satellite dish with you. Just bring your receiver, remote control and wiring connection with you. Our installer will install a dish in your new address.

And there is no charge for re-installation. We only ask you for a one year commitment which will start upon activation of your service. You may also pay a $99 relocation fee in lieu of the one-year commitment.

14. Your subscription fee depends on your chosen Direct TV programming package.

In order to get TFCD on Direct TV, you will only need to subscribe to Direct TV’s Basic Package for a low cost of $9.99. While subscription to TFCD package is only $22. 99*

15. Once your DIRECTV account is activated, DIRECTV will bill you for your subscription. You will receive a different bill for your Long Distance from ABS-CBNI. You may receive one last prorated bill from ABS-CBNI for your subscription.

16. As a valued subscriber you will continue to enjoy your free 20 minues on LDD as long as your TFC subscription in DirecTV is active.

17. If you de activate your service or cancel your TFC subscription, you will lose your free minutes on LDD.

However, you may still continue to use your LDD for a low rate of $0.23/min* plus any applicable taxes. This will be billed to you by ABS-CBNI.

18. If you are currently a TFCD customer, you will continue to enjoy the free 20 minutes on your LDD. Your billing cycle will be the same as when it was bundled with your TFCD service.

For new customers who had no existing TFCD/LDD service, you will have free 20 minutes on Long Distance Direct (LDD) monthly. We will bill you at a low rate of .23 cents* per minute plus any applicable taxes, for any usage in excess of the free 20 minutes.

Your LDD service will start two weeks after your activation with Direct TV. Please give us a call at 1800 345-2465 for the access numbers and dialing procedures.

*0.23 cents is based on calling the Philippines, other rates apply when calling other countries/territories. Rates are subject to change.

19. Your TFCD billing cycle will follow the date of your activation on DIRECTV.
For existing LDD customers, your LDD billing cycle will be the same billing cycle you had with your TFCD subscription.

For new LDD customers, your billing cycle starts when we activate your LDD service. This will be 2 weeks after your Direct TV activation date.

21. In order to get TFC, you will only need to get Direct TV’s Basic Package for a low price of $9.99 This package has up to 40 channels of different programming interest and may include the local channels in your area.

22. DIRECTV offers up to 4 receivers free of charge. Subscription fee on each additional receiver is only $4.99 per receiver per month. You may want to do that so each TV can show a different channel.

25. A one-year programming commitment is required for standard receivers. Cancellation before the one year period is subject to a pre termination fee of $150.00 to be pro rated depending on the number of unused months

Advanced products such as DVR and HD receivers carry a two year programming commitment and a pre termination fee of $300 also to be pro rated depending on the number of unused months.
